Item Description
Impressive. A striking, stout, 5.0 x 5.0 x 3.2 cm, doubly terminated, hexagonal, poker-chip calcite crystal is dramatically set on the sculptural large matrix plate covered with an earlier generation of similar small calcites. The large, glassy, highly lustrous crystal has a gemmy/translucent core with sharply defined white terminations and the crosshatching on the prism faces adds more pizzazz. Bright orange and pink LW UV fluorescence. A very aesthetic, excellent and uncommon large calcite from limited 2000s finds at this less well-known deposit.
