Beautiful, light yellow, GEMMY Calcite from one of the classic zeolite pockets in the basalt flows of India's Deccan Traps. Calcites exhibit more habits than any other mineral, and this is true to form, both in varying habit and sheer crystal quality. There is some contacting on the back, but what look like tiny cleaves are, on inspection, simply modifications because there are three identical corners. Gemmy, lustrous, and very good quality. An excellent, aesthetic Calcite. Better in person.
