Item Description
This piece is a large mound of complicated rhombohedral crystals with edge modifications (bevels). Each face is overall a series of stacked growth terraces that form the shape of a four-sided pyramid, over highly etched calcite below. The crystals sometimes look like "mushrooms" capping a stalk of etched calcite. Very interesting and aesthetic, with brilliant luster and a beautiful white color. Sulfide inclusions (probably pyrite) can be seen along the edges of the main rhombs. Surprisingly, this is in great shape and nearly complete all around.
