Here we have a beautiful Calcite specimen from a find in Wenshan dating back to the early 2000s. This particular discovery produced some very distinctive crystal forms/habits of the species, and they were fairly short-lived on the market. No more have been found for many years, and we recently found this piece in our back room stock, so we decided to put in the auctions to give everyone a chance at picking up one of these lovely specimens. The piece has an almost "flower"-like or "scepter"-style habit with a tapered growth, but there are also some additional smaller accenting crystals that give the piece an elegant overall appearance. The piece is virtually colorless, with a gentle, almost silky internal translucency. No major damage, only a few tiny nicks, but it's in great shape overall, and displays well from multiple sides.
