Item Description

A big showy near large cabinet sized display specimen of Calcite labeled as coming from the Roberts Mine in the Lake Valley District of New Mexico. Dozens upon dozens of silvery-grey colored, compressed/tabular bladed Calcite crystals form "rose"-shaped groups, with individual crystals measuring up to 1.2 cm across, associated with small semi-spherical aggregates of an unknown grey-black mineral (possibly some kind of manganese oxide or iron oxide). The majority of the Calcite crystals are in fine condition, and the piece largely is in great shape, and displays beautifully as you can see. A wonderful piece for any fan of worldwide Calcites or minerals of New Mexico.
