Item Description
A classic, showy and fine quality cabinet specimen loaded with excellent, very sharp scalenohedral crystals measuring up to 2.4 cm, which have the classic "dogtooth" habit. The color is a medium golden-brown, and the crystals are somewhat translucent when backlit. Most of the Calcites are undamaged, but a few tips are nicked, and the periphery is forgivably contacted where the piece was separated from the pocket wall. A great example of these well-known specimens from this prodigious mining area in Mexico.
