Item Description
This frosty, translucent pink, almost pine cone looking Calcite crystal is from a distinctive and yet an obscure locality in Wales, United Kingdom. This is a robust, rough textured scalenohedron due to the hundreds of stacked, thin Calcite plates that comprise the overall crystal from top to bottom. The main crystal is 5.9 cm in length and 3.5 cm across with a small sidecar crystal. The crystal is a translucent pink to tan color with what appears to be an indistinct pink, scalenohedral phantom at the center overgrown by a more tan colored overgrowth. An interesting and attractive Welsh Calcite! Large for the quality and style.
