A sparkling and sharp Tsumeb Calcite of a style that is at first more reminiscent of localities in the Midwest of the United States than Tsumeb. There are two, relatively large (just over an inch), Calcite rhombs at the center of the piece surrounded by a nearly complete ring of over a dozen, light amber colored, somewhat flattened, interlocking rhobohedra of a later generation of translucent Calcite. The rhombs at the interior have a fine, sugary coating of sparkling Calcite while the pale amber Calcites that make up the ring are lustrous and transparent to translucent. This piece has subtle color contrast, but pronounced textural contrast and is a rare example from Tsumeb!
