Item Description

A wonderful Calcite specimen from the lesser-known Peregrina Mine in Guanajuato, Mexico featuring sparkling, glassy, trigonal white crystals in semi-stalactitic / columnar formations, free of matrix. The central portion of the piece is partially hollow, hard to illustrate the in photos/video. The underside of the piece is more of a chalky white quality, as opposed to the more gemmy crystals on the exterior. No damage outside of the base of the piece where it was separated from the pocket wall. A cool locality specimen for any fan of Calcites or Mexican minerals.
