Item Description
Cafarsite is a rare, complex, hydrated calcium manganese iron titanium arsenite. The Piedmont region of Italy, near the Swiss border, produce the most highly treasured examples of this rare alpine mineral, cafarsite. Seldom do you see crystals that are so razor-sharp and clean as this, and it is well isolated on matrix as a bonus! While not the largest, this IS one of the sharpest - and the large crystal measures 1.2 cm across, while the other crystals are between 2 and 5mm. Mt. Cervandone is the type locality for the species.
