Yellow cadmium-rich smithsonite is among the rarest and most desirable smithsonite varietals from famed Tsumeb. Rich golden-yellow translucent rhombs with satin lustre faces are richly and aesthetically intergrown on the sculptural and hefty large matrix of nearly solid smithsonite. The rhombs reach 2.3 cm. Such large size with this color is VERY seldom seen for sale. The noted periphery wear has minimal impact to the overall high quality of the richly colored rhombs on this impressive piece.
