Smithsonite is very rare from Grant County, New Mexico. Yellow cadmium smithsonite is among the rarest and most desirable of all smithsonite varietals from any locality. A rind of bubbly, botryoidal, translucent and lustrous, cadmium smithsonite richly covers the matrix. Fine and very uncommon New Mexico material.
