Item Description
An excellent and showy example of bright yellow smithsonite, colored intense yellow by the cadmium or greenockite included inside. One side of the matrix wedge is attractively and richly covered with classic, saddle-shaped, dolomite crystals that have altered to smithsonite (so they are now pseudomorphs of smithsonite AFTER dolomite). The other side is peppered with tiny botryoids and euhedral primary smithsonite crystals. Classic and uncommon combination material from the famous mines at Rush, Arkansas. Rare quality, good color, valued $500-600
