Item Description
Immediately recognizable for their unique style, these so-called Cactus Quartz specimens are from South Africa. The pretty blush-purple glassy and lustrous amethyst towers have sharp terminations above the myriad of small crystals on the sides of the prisms. The large crystal is 6.5 cm tall. The noted basal periphery wear is certainly only a modest detraction to this showy and highly representative example from the locale. Common 15 to 20 years ago, you don't see much around any more.
