Item Description
Cacoxenite is a relatively uncommon hydrated iron phosphate found as an accessory mineral in oxidation zone of magnetic and limonite iron ores, novaculites, and rarely in iron rich sediments and soils. Golden-yellow rosettes and crusts of cacoxenite are richly scattered on the limonitic iron ore. Very fine material from this ancient locality, closed in 1988.
