Item Description

Cheralite-(Ce) is a discredited species because it is identical to a Ca-rich Monazite-(Ce). Mineral specimens of ANY type are EXTREMELY RARE from this obscure Montana carbonatite vein. One side of the matrix sliver is richly covered with glassy, translucent olive-green microcrystals. The vug of tiny lustrous and translucent reddish-brown crystal may be another variety of monazite. A VERY RARE example of the species and locale from the Josef Vajdak Collection. A MUST for the locality or species collector.
