Item Description
Bumble Bee Jasper comprises separate minerals, i.e., Anhydrite, Hematite, Orpiment, Sulfur, Arsenic and nearly 20 others from what we've read. Some people have called this material Agate, but considering there are over 100 names for cryptocrystalline or massive uncrystallize Quartz varieties, we'll just leave it as Jasper, as most have called it. The lovely patterns on this stone often imitate the coloring found on bumblebees, hence the name. This tumbled piece is an excellent example of this material, and it certainly is a good example of this highly sought after and rare material. Beautiful coloration and patterning, and it could easily be wire-wrapped into a pendant, or left in a curio cabinet or shelf for display. Specimen weight is 51.39 grams (256.95 carats)
