Item Description
There are all kinds of Agate in the world, but these stones are certainly unlike anything we've had to offer in the past. The come from a recent discovery in 2020 in Java. This is a beautiful style of Agate that is locally referred to as "Bullseye Agate". The stone features a rich, saturated, orange-red core of translucent Agate (possibly Chalcedony) with a gorgeous tight banded pattern (best seen with backlighting) surrounded by a crystalline white Quartz exterior. It almost reminds me of the cross-section of an egg, with a saturated dark yolk in the center. This is unique material, unlike anything I've seen before, and would make a great addition to any gem collection, or as the center stone for a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry.
