Bugeye Fluorite on Quartz (NEW Find)

Collectible spherical fluorite is EXTREMELY RARE worldwide. Mahodari, India and Minggang, Henan Province, China come to mind. Add a locality to the list with a BRAND NEW, 2011 find from Inner Mongolia, China. Our Chinese sources have just shipped us a small lot of this striking and unusual material. We call these "bugeye" fluorites for their isolated, bulbous shape. The two discrete, lustrous and translucent fluorites, to 1.6 cm, are actually composed of sharp, intergrown, pretty sea-green octahedrons with scattered complimentary, purple octos. The two "bugeyes" jauntily rest on the side of a lustrous, sharp, stepped-growth, gray quartz crystal. The quartz crystal termination is lightly bruised. Irregardless, this is a striking and very fine example of this combination material from a NEW find in a VERY uncommon Chinese locality. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!!
