Item Description

Brucite chemically is magnesium hydroxide, and is found in many places around the world. The species has been observed in a myriad of colors, but they are often softer, more pastel hues. In the last few years, some rare YELLOW specimens have come out of the Killa Saifullah area in Pakistan, and they are some of the most vividly colored Brucites you'll find. The intense yellow color is exceptionally rare for the species, and the saturation of these groups combined with the fact that they have formed attractive specimens on matrix makes them incredibly desirable for species collectors and display collectors alike. This small cabinet specimen hosts semi-spherical, lustrous, translucent, yellow groups of Brucite with minor attached matrix. When backlit, the main cluster of Brucite "balls" GLOWS with color. If you collect minerals of Pakistan, don't miss out on this really eye-catching material. Yellow is not terribly common in the mineral world, especially this particular hue of yellow. There might be many of these on the market right now, but they will dry up quicker than you realize, so be sure to pick up one while they're available.
