Item Description

This specimen is not from the recent discoveries in Baluchistan, but rather came out in the early 1990s from Skardu. I found reference to an article by Gordon Cressey from 1986 that talks about this material. You can see that although the color is similar, the habit and associations are distinctly different from the more radial groups that have come in the last few years. This piece hosts many fine quality, waxy / pearly groups of yellow to nearly white colored Brucite sitting on white Calcite matrix. Individual groups measure up to 2.6 cm across. Very little damage to be seen, and I love the robust nature of the Brucites. Brucite is known from a lot of world localities, but YELLOW material is just plain rare, so if you already bought one of the new pieces from Baluchistan, this is a great older specimen to pair up with it, or if you're just a fan of Brucite, you can't afford to miss out on this incredibly hard to find specimen with a gorgeous color. Priced in the inventory at $1,750.
