Item Description
This is some of the finest color and most well-known Brucite in the world. This small cabinet is a very attractive, rich blue cluster of Brucite crystals in spherical aggregates associated with Hydromagnesite. The color is beautiful for the species, and if it was from Pennsylvania, it would cost an arm and a leg. These South African ones are always underpriced for some reason though I think they are among the most beautiful minerals from this area. This is a good specimen of the species because it is colorful, fairly aesthetic, and shows actual crystal structure. The piece was self-collected by J. P. Gliddon on Bench 27 of the Palabora Open Pit.
