Brucite (excellent rare yellow color)

These attractive Brucite specimens from Pakistan are certainly among the most exciting newer finds from any locality. Typically Brucite can be kind of chalky with somewhat pastel colors, but these Pakistani specimens feature a highly desirable combination of fine quality, gemmy crystals with a very rarely electric yellow color. These have become quite popular among collectors. This small miniature sized display specimen features a somewhat spherical group composed of very attractive, lustrous, translucent, gorgeous intense yellow colored Brucite crystals free of matrix. As I mentioned, this is a rare color for Brucite, and with such wonderful internal gemminess when backlit, it's a very worthwhile specimen. Originally, these were thought to be from Kharan, but we had a source tell us they're actually from Killa Saifullah District, so it's possible that the Brucites were brought to market in Kharan and errantly thought to be from there. Nonetheless, these are very attractive and worthwhile to add to your collection since there seems to be a limited amount on the market and typically these kind of discoveries don't produce a lot of material, so get them while you can.
