This is an impressive and aesthetic specimen of the yellow Brucites from finds in Pakistan from several years ago, that have really redefined the species for the collector. This attractive small cabinet piece consists of several glossy, bright lemon-yellow, botryoidal aggregates of Brucite covering a thin veneer of whitish Brucite. The elongated bubbly surface has very uniform bright yellow Brucite, unlike inferior pieces that are marbled with whith whitish, almost dirty looking Brucite; this is an extraordinarily colorful piece! Incident light just shimmers off the individual Brucite botryoids that comprise this piece. There is no contacting around the edges either, as this piece just has perfect, rounded Brucite botryoids to the edge all around the piece! This Brucite find simply redefined the species for collectors, especially due to pieces like this! For the size, it is about as good as it gets. When they first came out, they were valued like gold. Admittedly more has come, and there is much on the market now - but NOT at this quality level of sparkle, shimmer, and color saturation. Combine that with the aesthetic shape, and this is significant worth putting away for the future from a contemporary find. Valued $1000-plus.
