Item Description

Fine combination piece with tan-colored Brucite and gemmy yellow Sturmanite. Brucite, an uncommon magnesium hydroxide, is definitely one of the lesser known species from the famous N'Chwaning Mines. The brown, very fine-grained sparkly Brucite is in a mass 3.5 cm in length. Some of the Brucite has been contacted or bruised, not surprising considering how soft it is. Associated with the Brucite are about a dozen yellow, highly lustrous, hexagonal Strumanite tabular, pillow-shaped crystals. The Sturmanites are very GEMMY. Not the most elegant of specimens, but it is notable for the combination and the quality of the tiny but sharp, 2mm Sturmanites.
