Brucite

Brucite has historically been a non-colorful mineral with few specimens that could demand attention from the collector of aesthetic worldwide minerals - important but not at the top of the list. Over the last 5-6 years, however, amazing brucites have come out of the high mountains of Pakistan. Admittedly there are a lot of them, but this particular piece has a sculptural style, intense lemon yellow color, and size, that makes it appealing. It is complete and without damage, very elegant, and looks like a cluster of balls and whorls frozen in mid-air motion. The piece is thin, not fragile; and this makes it entirely 100% translucent such that only a little backlighting gives it an even and uniform glow of intense lemon yellow (shown in photos with front lighting, a small amount of backlight, and then with more strong backlighting).
