Brookite & Quartz

Item Description

Kharan "Alpine-type" brookite specimens rival those from the famous Swiss and Italian localities and cost significantly less. This showy combination features a 2.6 cm, lustrous, reddish-brown, striated prism aesthetically nestled and partially enclosed in a sculptural cluster of glassy quartz crystals. The large 4.3 cm quartz on one end is doubly terminated and pristine. The brookite fragment at the base is separated from the large crystal, but was probably part of it originally, before tectonic forces broke it. Excellent combination material from the 2004-05 finds.
