The early 2000s finds of Brookite specimens from the Kharan District of Pakistan are easily some of the finest "Alpine-type" Brookites in the world. Reminiscent of the finest TRUE ALPINE Brookite specimens from the Alps, these crystals are just as sharp, lustrous, gemmy and colorful. If these specimens from Pakistan were found in the Italy or Switzerland, they would be worth thousands! of dollars apiece to knowledgeable collectors (if you could even get a European collector to part with one). That's how good they are. This showy and excellent combination specimen features two fine quality, good-sized, sharp, lustrous, tabular Brookite crystals measuring up to 1.8 cm very aesthetically set among gemmy Quartz crystals on the quartz and feldspar matrix plate. Back lighting reveals the gorgeous cherry-red translucence with black lines, typical of many specimens from the finds. Ex Richard Rossi Collection.
