Brookite on Pyrite (Arkansas! Ex. Michael Howard Coll.)

Sparkly, sharp brookite microcrystals are festooned on all sides of the sculptural intergrown cluster of lustrous, brassy pyrites cubes. This is an excellent and very uncommon combination from near this molybdenum-titanium prospect at Magnet Cove, that was explored in 1929-1930 and worked from 1939-1947 (MINDAT). This is a large, substantial, rich and rare combination of the species and locale. Ex J. Michael Howard (a noted Arkansas collector and geologist) and an East Coast collection.
