Brookite in Quartz (Polished)

The Brookite specimens from various localities in the Balochistan Region of Pakistan can certainly be classified as some of the best, if not the very best examples of the species ever found. The size, color and quality of these crystals is remarkable, especially from an "Alpine-type" environment. This piece is an attractive polished crystal of transparent, colorless Quartz which plays host to dark reddish-brown, tabular, "sword"-shaped crystals of Brookite frozen inside. Typically the Quartz crystals from this area aren't terribly big, so to find a good sized crystal with such clear transparency that can be polished is noteworthy, and then you throw in the attractive Brookite crystal inclusions, and you have a unique piece that would make a nice addition to a polished mineral collection, or a suite of inclusion specimens.
