Item Description

This piece was mined in October of 2005. Simply put, these specimens are some of, if not THE finest quality "Alpine-type" Brookites in the world. They are incredibly similar to the TRUE ALPINE Brookite specimens from the European Alps, as they are just as sharp, lustrous, gemmy and colorful. If the specimens from Pakistan were found in the Italy or Switzerland, they would be worth thousands (!) of dollars apiece to knowledgable collectors (if you could even get a European collector to part with one). That's how good they are. This attractive cabinet specimen hosts a good sized, fine quality, very sharp, lustrous, GEM/gemmy, deep flame red-orange color, Brookite crystals measuring 1.1 cm with a classic black "phantom" running through the length of the crystals sitting very aesthetically on matrix. A wonderful and colorful specimen of a species that is not often seen in fine quality crystals like this. No damage and very showy. The piece could possibly be trimmed down to a more balanced size, but there's always the risk of the Brookite crystal "popping off", so we left it as is. Priced at $950.
