Brookite ex Obodda

Item Description

This is a classic specimen of the rare titanium-species brookite, from a modern locality that produced extensively starting in the early 2000s and has since rather wound down. It is from old dealer stock of Herb Obodda, who brought many of them out. It features perfect crystals to an inch (2.4 cm) reclining on contrasting white matrix of small albite crystals, instead of on the usual gray rock you often see, for a great contrast! Old value on this was $850 from his old label.
