Item Description
Mt. Bregaceto is a famous Brookite locality in Italy, producing textbook examples of the species with superb crystal form, color and classic internal "phantoms". The crystals are typically a few mm, but they are beautiful up close, and certainly some of the most recognized examples from anywhere. This piece hosts several attractive, sharp, gemmy, lustrous, rich flame colored "sword"-shaped crystals of Brookite measuring up to 5 mm, associated with minor Anatase sitting on Quartz on matrix. We photographed the piece with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality. A beautiful piece of this iconic material.
