Item Description

This is one of the few specimens that we've ever had to offer from the Kansas Mine in Nevada. As a matter of fact, I had a hard time finding it on mindat.org's database, but it's definitely a verified locality (see https://westernmininghistory.com/mine_detail/10111425 and https://www.mindat.org/loc-58984.html). This piece features a beautiful coverage of attractive green Brochantite which has a coating of sparkling drusy colorless Gypsum. The listing on mindat doesn't even include Brochantite, but I've seen a few of these over the years, so I know they're legit. Some lighter more mint-green colored aggregates of what could be Rosasite are present on the specimen as well for a nice touch. Very minor roughness, overall excellent quality. A must have for any fan of secondary copper minerals or colorful display specimens from the Western United States.
