Brochantite with Azurite and Malachite (ex Mikell Collection)

Item Description

Beautiful, acicular green Brochantite with deep blue Azurite and minor green Malachite on matrix from the classic locality at Conception del Oro. This area has produced some attractive secondary copper minerals along with lovely crystallized sulfides. I don't know if this piece is from the El Cobre Mine or the San Carlos Mine, but those are the two most likely localities. This attractive display specimen is in good shape and looks beautiful with magnification. The piece comes from the collection of Bev & Mars Mikell.
