Item Description
The famous mines at Bisbee have produced some of the finest brochantite specimens around. It was an important ore mineral in several mines. This is a very rich and showy mounded mass of densely intergrown, lustrous, rich green crystal clusters to 2.8 cm. Old-time material seldom available in this quality. A very rare example of crystallized brochantite in large, robust, thick crystals exceeding 1 cm. Such specimens are old Bisbee classics from the mid and early 1900s, and seldom seen today. There are several styles, of which this is the best for my taste because the crystals are more individual and some other styles have them in solid masses, almost massive in fact. An important, historic Bisbee specimen, AND quite good for this species. valued $750-1250
