Item Description

Recent finds of brochantite from this mine, now famous for superb azurite and malachite specimens, have been considered the worlds finest. Sprays of large, lustrous, acicular crystals to 1.5 cm cover all sides of this 100% brochantite specimen. Not many were found and this is an excellent small cabinet with stout crystals. Most specimens had smaller, needle-like crystals, rather than the larger crystals, like this. VERY RICH! The smelter is converting to sulfide ore soon, indicating the oxide zone is about mined out. No more superb azurites, malachites and brochantites will be forthcoming. Get a fine, highly representative example of this species while you can!
