Brochantite

Item Description

Recent finds of brochantite from this mine, now famous for superb azurite and malachite specimens, have been considered the worlds finest. Large, lustrous, acicular crystals to 1.5 cm totally fill the interior and most of the exterior of the sculptural, curved vug. Not many were found and this is an excellent miniature with stout crystals. Most specimens had smaller, needle-like crystals, rather than the larger crystals, like this.
