Item Description

Brewsterite-Sr is a rare member of the Zeolite Group and these well-known, open-cut Ba-Pb-Zn-Ag mines at Strontian are the TYPE LOCALITY. The Brewsterites make a carpet of tiny, glassy crystals that average 3-4 mm, and they populate a highly-fluorescent Calcite matrix. Quite possibly from the Whitesmith Mine, combinations in this richness are uncommon from this noted area. Formerly in the Eugene Carmichael collection. ex George Elling Collection.
