Item Description
This is a good representative small cabinet specimen featuring sharp, lustrous, well-formed, translucent, yellow green color, crystals of Brazilianite measuring up to 5.1 cm long with bladed Albite here and there. The piece is crystallized, on all sides and is nearly a complete "floater", but I can see a few tiny points of contact, so we'll just leave it at a "near floater" specimen. From the collection of Rolando Gioia (a contributor to new definitive book on Brazilian minerals: "Minerais e Pedras Preciosas do Brasil"). Valued at $450.
