Gem quality Brazilianite is not terribly common on the market these days, as the old material from decades ago has long been mined out, and new finds have produced less and less pieces that are suitably for faceting. These are some of the most attractive gems out there, and the best stones are unique in their color, as they truly do not resemble anything else. This stone hails from the type locality for the species, the famous Córrego Frio Mine and shows a wonderful yellow-green hue with virtually eye clean clarity and a classic "Oval Brilliant" cut. I rarely have these stones available in the auctions, so don't miss out on this one.
