Brazilianite on Feldspar

Item Description

This is a striking Brazilianite cluster from the more recent finds in the late 1990s (as opposed to older material found in the 1940s at the nearby type locality). The Brazilianites here are classic in their form, gemminess, and luster, and the attractive yellow color is uniform throughout the bladed crystals. The largest of the dozens of Brazilianites is 1.3 cm, and it stands proudly among the cluster that occupies one half of a tabular Microcline crystal, as is being served up on a platter. The crystals have good, chisel-shaped terminations, and they sparkle with such good luster and transparency. One of the more desired of Brazilian mineral species, good Brazilianites are very hard to come by, and this excellent small cabinet specimen should be in high demand.
