Item Description
Sharp, gemmy, yellow-green euhedral brazilianite crystals from the famous namesake Type Locality are highly desirable. This well-formed crystal is very glassy and has bright luster. The front is nearly pristine with only a small bruise on the upper right edge. The contacting at the base, where other crystals once lay, has no damage, per se. The back has rare embedded muscovite plates and what looks to be a section of a hexagonal fluorapatite crystal. One end is dinged. This very fine miniature is from the original finds of the 1940s and are valued highly. This is a gorgeous, classic crystal with the unique color form those old finds that has not been equaled since! 28 grams mass, so a nice sized miniature with some cutting value, as well. Valued at $1250 by the former dealer. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!! Difficult to photograph, due to the glassiness and gemminess.
