Item Description

This is a classic display specimen featuring several beautiful, lustrous, gemmy, yellow green color, crystals of Brazilianite which are intermixed with contrasting white Albite and silvery "star" Muscovite on the back. This small cabinet specimen comes from Linopolis, where most of the good Brazilianite pieces have been found in recent years. The quality is good on this piece, but it's not complete on the bottom/underside where it detached from the pocket wall. I will point out that some of the Brazilianite crystals are rather gemmy at the terminations. Additionally, many of the crystals are smooth and not at all "crazed" like many from this area. The largest Brazilianite measures 4.7 cm, which is very good for the species and the locality. The Valued at $1,700. From the collection of Brian Kosnar.
