Bournonite with Siderite on Quartz

It's difficult to find showy cabinet sized display quality specimens of Bournonite from any world locality. The Machacamarca area in Bolivia has been a source of some really good quality Bournonite since the early 2000s, and has pumped out a good number of attractive larger specimens of Bournonite in the last couple decades. This piece features a fine quality, sharp, well-formed, metallic, steel-grey tabular Bournonite crystal measuring 3.0 cm across, aesthetically perched atop a sharp, translucent, greenish-brown rhomb of Siderite beautifully set atop micro grey Quartz crystal matrix. The back of the piece features an additional Bournonite crystal that is about the same size as the main crystal atop the specimen. No damage that I can find, and the piece sits beautifully on its own without the aid of a base or clay! If you've always wanted a larger, fine quality, matrix display specimen of Bournonite from Bolivia, do not pass this one up. It's a very good one for what it is. Valued at $2,000-$2,500 retail.
