Item Description

Splendent, dark metallic-gray, textbook for the locale bournonite crystals are strikingly festooned on this extremely rich and sculptural small cabinet from this famous ancient iron mine, abandoned in 1965. The dramatically placed large crystal at the top is 1.1 cm and many of the crystals have a beautiful light iridescence, adding much color and pizzazz. The bournonites rest on a seam of tiny siderite disks. Older classic combination material from the Dr Werner Lieber Collection. Specimens of this size and richness should be valued around $1000-1500 depending on the exchange rate, at good shows in Europe
