Item Description

This is a strange miniature size specimen consisting of dozens of sharp, lustrous, tabular crystals. I think it displays rather nicely and has an interesting arrangement. The crystal on this specimen has an unusual shape due to fact that it might have grown against the wall of the pocket when it formed. It has great luster and unique form with the typical gun-metal appearance. The matrix is crystallized micro Quartz with golden metallic Pyrite. Mined in 2002. There was a find of his relatively rare copper sulfosalt about 10 years ago at Machacamarca, and this piece is one of the more unusual specimens from this find. The largest crystal measures 4.0 cm, which is very good for the species, especially from Bolivia.
