Item Description

Neudorf is famous for the world-class galena and bournonite specimens, though bournonite specimens are rare compared to galena specimens. This is a striking intergrown pair of large, sharp, lustrous, dark metallic-gray crystals with a hint of malachite coating on some faces. In great shape, overall, with just a bit of edge wear. The out-of-sight base is broken and two other contacted faces are mostly out-of-sight. Rare and excellent old-time material from mines, that closed in 1903. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. Valued $750-1000 for such a large, sharp crystal
