Item Description
An impressive, sharp, metllaic-bright, 2.2 cm, bournonite twin commands the crest of this showy and excellent combination specimen. Bournonite specimens are very uncommon from the historic mines at Pribram. The crystal rests on a 3-dimensional matrix of siderite rosettes, calcite rhombs, sphalerite, quartz and other sulfides. The back end of the crystal has a contact notch with some bruising and there is a bit termination edge wear. This striking and fine rarity displays very well from the front. Probably old, but no proof. Ex Giancarlo Fioravanti Collection and obtained in a trade in Monaco in 1979 for the equivalent of 500 Deutsch marks. valued $750
