Item Description
A 2.6 x 1.8 cm, splendent, metallic, columnar, bournonite crystal is aesthetically set on the side of a very showy cluster of transparent to translucent, glassy quartz crystals from recent finds at the famous Yaogangxian Mine of China. The 4.5 cm, doubly terminated quartz crystal has nifty stepped-growth faces. Very interesting! Minor edge contacting on the bournonite crystal is noted, but the termination is pristine. This excellent piece is highly representative of the species and locale. Many people consider these Chinese bournonites comparable to the classic, old Herodsfoot Mine of Cornwall pieces, which are always expensive. Valued $750-1000
